One Young World Youth Reporters

One Young World youth reporters were spotted daily during the One Young World Summit. These high school students received credentials that allowed them to cover summit speeches and presentations, including one by former president Bill Clinton.

"The Youth Reporters program is in alignment with the goal of One Young World, which is to foster youth engagement with important global issues and to amplify the voices of tomorrow’s leaders,” said Kate Robertson, co-founder of the One Young World summit, in a recent Tribune-Review article.

One Young World Plenary Sessions: Topics

In 2010 and 2011, the topics for the six Plenary Sessions were decided by the Founders on the basis of a Global Consultation Process, which was carried out by YouGovStone.

This year, One Young World conducted its own survey to assess the topics that matter most to the Ambassadors. Additionally, social media was used to poll opinions and decide the themes of the main sessions. As a result, One Young World 2012 will hold Plenary Sessions on the following seven topics:

  1. Education
  2. Global Business
  3. Health
  4. Human Rights
  5. Leadership
  6. Sustainable Development
  7. Transparency
