Global Challenges and U.S. National Security Strategy
In collaboration with the U.S. Army War College
During the National Security Briefing for Teachers, senior officers representing several branches of the United States military will speak to teachers about a variety of national security issues and the role that the military plays in addressing these challenges. Teachers will be engaged in dialogue on these topics and discuss how to address these issues in their classrooms.
What are the implications of the recent attacks by ISIS in Beirut and Paris? What are the concerns with China claiming and defending expanded territory in the South China Sea? How are trends of shifting demographics and weak economies placing stress on failed or failing states, and how are these contributing to additional security concerns? Learn about how the U.S. military is responding to these and other national security issues at this event.
Join us at this exciting workshop for teachers, featuring senior military officials from the U.S. Army War College who have first-hand experience with military operations and tactics at home and abroad.
ACT 48 hours (5) will be available pending approval.
Teachers can attend at a subsidized rate of $35.
Workshop materials will be sent prior to the event.
