JeffRathke_0With the outcome of the Brexit vote, a rise in political extremism, and increasing acts of terror throughout Europe, the European Union has regularly made headlines throughout the year. Join us for a luncheon discussion that explores the changing European landscape, alliances, and the future of transatlantic relations.

Jeffrey Rathke is a retired Foreign Service Officer. He has completed assignments in Kuala Lumpur, in the Office of the NATO Secretary General in Brussels, and in Berlin. His Washington assignments have included deputy director of the Office of European Security and Political Affairs, and duty officer in the White House Situation Room and State Department operations center. He most recently served as director of the State Department Press Office. Jeffrey was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area and graduated in 1987 from Hampton High School.
