Dr. Blanca Heredia sits down with Angelica Ocampo to discuss her program, Talentum, and the impact it is making on students from Mexico and the relationship between the United States and Mexico. The Talentum program is two-fold. First, it identifies young, talented undergraduate students from all over Mexico. Out of the 14,000 applicants, 60 are selected to participate in leadership programs in Mexico City as well as a program abroad. This year, the Talentum students visited Pittsburgh in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Through these programs in Mexico and abroad, Talentum aims to provide their naturally talented students with the leadership skills necessary to become successful individually and successfully impact their communities.
