Despite their country’s wealth, Americans are often reputed as provincials — people who don’t know other languages, or care what people in other nations think.
The World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh is trying to change that with initiatives like its Global Travel Scholars program for area high school students. And on Thursday night, you can hear what some participants did with their rather unusual summer vacations.
Bricolage Productions hosts Travel Tales, subtitled “True Stories from First-Time International Travelers.” It’s an evening of live storytelling by young people who traveled abroad during the summers after their junior years of high school thanks to Global Travel Scholars
