Syria’s woes beyond boundaries, expert tells Pittsburgh group

As the United States, its allies and its adversaries attempt to deal with the worst humanitarian crisis on the globe, their worries wander beyond war-torn Syria’s borders, foreign policy analysts say.

Iran, Saudi Arabia, Israel, al-Qaida and Hezbollah all want something from the Syrian civil war’s outcome, allowing the tendrils of the conflict to reach into the heart of U.S. interests in the region.
